The Practice

Animism as foundation

Animism is the understanding that all beings — human, animal, plant, stone, river, wind — carry spirit and hold relationships with one another. It is not a belief system to adopt but a way of perceiving that many indigenous cultures have never lost, and that many of us are remembering.

The Practitioner

Adi Marie is a ceremonialist, diviner, and shamanic bodyworker based in Southern California. Her practice weaves plant medicine traditions, somatic healing, ancestral divination, and generative trance into ceremonial containers designed for deep personal transformation.

The Approach

This work is trauma-informed, therapeutically attuned, and rooted in relationship — with the self, with the land, with the ancestors, and with the plant teachers. It is not therapy, though it is therapeutic. It is not religion, though it is deeply spiritual. It is ceremony — the oldest form of human healing.

Every Journey Begins with a Conversation

The first step into this work is an Intake & Inquiry call — a 90-minute Pláticas session where we explore what brings you here, what you're being called toward, and how this practice might serve your path.
